At the heart of Mindfulness Meditation is the simple premise that benefit to our health and well-being is gained by bringing awareness to, and acceptance of, an experience in the moment, without judgement.
We are not always aware of our thoughts or messages from our body, or indeed what is going on in the world around us. In paying more attention, being more mindful, we can make more informed choices about how to respond in the moment. This is particularly important when faced with something that creates tension or difficulty. Being more aware and accepting life in the moment can bring benefits for our mental health and well-being. Learning to notice our breath and follow our thoughts, without judging them, can help us find the peace at the core of each one of us.
